The glowing black coating that surrounds Luna is composed of hexagonal crystals of boron nitride and carbon. The coating absorbs high-velocity forces such as "bullets and explosions," altering the force of the impact from deadly to harmless, and it provides electromagnetic and thermal shielding from other symbiont hosts. The feathers are composed of the same material as Luna's glowing black coating, but their function is to store a massive amount of electrical energy and discharge this stored energy at Luna's will. The change in Luna's hair color into a whitish hue is the result of an electroreceptor coating that increases her sensitivity to her surroundings due to the electrical field she emits. The full capability of the Symbiont is still unknown; only constant observation will reveal what the Symbiont is capable of.
